Areas of Expertise

Allergies

Seasonal environmental allergies, inhalant allergies and food allergies often cannot be avoided. In addition to acute relief from symptoms such as runny nose, itchy eyes, diarrhea and such, my approach is to regulate the immune system, desensitize allergens and treat the underlying cause to decrease allergic responses long term.

Skin

Skin issues such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and rashes are commonly a sign of internal imbalance. It's important to address the root cause or causes contributing to these symptoms to maintain long-lasting healthy skin. My approach is typically multi-factorial, encouraging balance of the digestive system, immune system and hormones in addition to personalized skin care.

Digestive health

Digestive concerns such as bloating, constipation, diarrhea, heart burn, nausea and cramping can significantly impair quality of life. 'Let food be thy medicine' is a core naturopathic philosophy and my approach is typically to combine an individualized diet with evidence based supplements to address symptoms and ultimately improve digestive function.

Modalities & Techniques

Botanical Medicine

Herbs have evolved together with humans and historically been used all over the world to treat illness. Modern day use of herbs employs an artful blend of traditional use and evidence-based science to formulate safe and effective treatments that address symptoms and root causes of illness to support healing a wide range of diseases.

Total Body Modification (TBM)

First introduced by Dr. Victor Frank, TBM is a comprehensive system of healing to restore the body's self-regulation and autonomic nervous system balance. Gentle spinal or visceral corrections are made based on testing points associated with certain organ systems and structural imbalances. Read more on how it can help you here.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Chinese medicine is a holistic therapy that focuses on underlying imbalances between organ systems. Qi, or vital energy, is traditionally believed to flow in the body through channels called meridians. Similarly to the flow of rivers, qi moves energy throughout the body system. Blocked qi leads to an imbalance in the system, akin to when a river is dammed. In addition to treating systemic diseases, acupuncture has also been scientifically shown to be effective for local muscle and joint issues.
